Role Overview

This position is for a full-time hybrid Java Software Engineer based in Pune. The role centers on creating, improving, and supporting software applications, with a strong focus on Java development, Spring-based frameworks, and microservices. You will also work closely with different teams to shape, design, and deliver new product capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, enhance, and maintain Java applications with code that is clean, efficient, and easy to support.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and convert them into workable technical solutions.
• Take part in code reviews to help maintain strong engineering standards.
• Investigate bugs and production issues and fix them promptly.
• Create and run unit and integration tests to improve software reliability.
• Find performance issues in the application and make improvements where needed.

Required Technical Background

• Solid hands-on experience with Java, Spring Framework components such as Spring Boot and Spring MVC, and Hibernate/JPA.
• Working knowledge of REST APIs and web services.
• Comfort working with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Practical exposure to AWS services and microservices-oriented system design.
• Experience using build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Good understanding of Git and version control workflows.
• Strong grasp of object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns.
• Familiarity with automated testing approaches and frameworks.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team setting.
