Role overview
As an IT Helpdesk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for technical support across the organization in Cologne. Your focus will be on resolving day-to-day IT problems quickly, keeping disruptions to a minimum, and making sure employees have a reliable technology experience.
Key responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve technical incidents promptly so user productivity is affected as little as possible.
- Receive, track, and complete IT service requests while maintaining clear and accurate records.
- Support troubleshooting efforts for hardware, software, and application-related issues to keep systems running smoothly.
- Manage the creation, update, and removal of user accounts and access permissions in a secure manner.
- Assist with routine system maintenance tasks and coordinate support activities as needed.
Requirements
- A degree in computer science, information technology, or a completed vocational qualification in a related area is required.
- 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in a first-level support or helpdesk role is expected.
- You should be able to diagnose and fix problems involving software, hardware, and network environments.
- Working knowledge of operating systems and widely used enterprise tools such as Microsoft 365 and Azure is important.
- Strong English communication skills at C1 level are required.
