Role overview
An energy solutions company in Singapore is looking for an Inventory Controller to manage stock control, reporting, and coordination across operations, finance, and logistics. This is a permanent role based in Jurong West, following a 5-day work week from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
The compensation for this position is a basic salary of $3,000 to $4,000 per month.
Core responsibilities
- Take ownership of inventory control and day-to-day stock management.
- Keep inventory data current and accurate, including stock movements, transfers, and cycle count results.
- Track monthly safety stock levels to support order fulfilment needs.
- Coordinate and lead the yearly stock take process.
- Ensure the sales team applies the correct product item codes.
- Check and resolve differences between physical stock and system records, including item and quantity variances.
- Review product sales, stock turnover, and overall inventory levels to support decision-making.
- Compile, issue, and maintain inventory reports to support stock accuracy.
- Recommend and carry out process improvements that raise efficiency and lower operating costs.
- Manage purchase orders and payment workflows, and coordinate with the finance team on payment-related matters.
- Work with forwarders and courier partners to organise shipping plans and meet order delivery requirements.
- Handle other duties assigned by supervisors as needed.
Requirements
- A diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or another relevant field is required.
- At least 5 years of related work experience is needed.
- The ideal candidate should be meticulous, well organised, and maintain a positive attitude.
- Strong analytical and communication abilities are important for this role.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is expected.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central will be considered an added advantage.
Work arrangement
This is a permanent, full-time onsite role located in Jurong West, Singapore.
