Role Overview

This position is for an HPC Network Engineer who is eager to build expertise inside an infrastructure team. It is a strong fit for someone with networking fundamentals who wants to grow into high-performance computing networking, InfiniBand, and Fortinet-based security operations. The role includes close collaboration with senior engineers and offers a path toward a more senior HPC network engineering position.

Core Responsibilities

You will help run, troubleshoot, and improve high-performance network environments used for HPC and AI workloads. The work includes support for InfiniBand and Ethernet networks, incident handling, documentation, and increasing involvement in automation and operational improvements.

Qualifications and Experience

The role calls for 2 to 4 years of experience in networking, systems engineering, or infrastructure work. A solid grasp of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and VLANs is important, along with comfort using Linux and command-line tools. Experience in data center networking or distributed systems environments is useful, and the candidate should be enthusiastic about developing deeper knowledge of InfiniBand and HPC networking.

Preferred Background

Helpful additions include exposure to InfiniBand or other high-performance networking technologies, familiarity with Fortinet or similar firewall products, basic scripting ability in Bash or Python, and a working understanding of monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques.

Growth and Learning

The role offers hands-on learning with InfiniBand fabrics and HPC networking tools, mentorship from senior engineers, and exposure to RDMA, MPI workloads, and large-scale cluster environments. There is also a clear development path toward a Senior HPC Network Engineer role with greater ownership over time.
