Housekeeper - Full Time

Role Overview

This full-time housekeeping position in Sylacauga, Alabama, supports the cleanliness and safety of the community. The shift currently available is 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Key Duties

• Carry out assigned housekeeping tasks each day according to the daily work schedule.
• Work with management to coordinate routine cleaning in resident living spaces and recreation areas.
• As directed, clean and polish furniture, fixtures, ledges, HVAC units, and similar surfaces in resident rooms and common areas.
• Wash, sanitize, and polish bathroom fixtures, including removing water stains and marks.
• Clean windows and mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance or exit areas.
• Wash, wipe, dust, spot-clean, disinfect, and deodorize walls and ceilings as needed.
• Remove dirt, grease, dust, film, and other buildup using appropriate cleaning and disinfecting products.
• Dispose of waste in the proper containers and replace trash liners as required.
• Report supply shortages to the supervisor.
• At the end of each shift, clean and store carts, equipment, and other supplies properly.
• Complete additional tasks, including special projects, as assigned by the supervisor.

Education and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Prior experience of 1 year is also preferred.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stay mobile throughout the workday is required.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and stooping may be necessary.
• The role involves standing or walking for about 75% of the day.
• Must be able to push, pull, or move at least 100 pounds using proper technique and support when needed.
• Must be able to see and hear effectively, or use assistive devices that allow these senses to function well enough to meet the job requirements.
