직무 설명
About the Graduate Program
This graduate pathway is designed to make the move into professional practice feel supported and manageable. You can expect a thorough onboarding process, close supervision, steady support, and a caseload that allows you to build confidence gradually. A dedicated buddy will help you settle in, and you will receive fortnightly technical training to strengthen your clinical ability.
You will also be mentored by an experienced clinician and have regular one-to-one guidance from a senior clinician to help shape your long-term career direction. The program gives you exposure to therapy delivery across well-equipped clinics, client homes, schools, and telehealth settings.
Work Environment
The organisation has a strong national network, with more than 45 clinics across Australia, creating opportunities to connect with highly experienced professionals and learn from a wide range of clinicians. You will be part of a close-knit multidisciplinary team that works collaboratively with allied health and client support staff to design and deliver holistic care.
The role also offers a mix of clinic-based and community-based work, supporting variety in how you practise.
Graduate Benefits
The role comes with a competitive salary and a flexible environment, along with a broad range of benefits aimed at supporting learning, wellbeing, and work-life balance.
- A team-based service model that recognises client-related work broadly, leaving room for the extra tasks that help clients reach their therapy goals
- More than 100 rostered CPD hours each year, including monthly in-house learning, daily collaboration time, national and state clinical meetings, paid development leave, and a personal development allowance
- Up to 12 weeks of annual leave per year through an additional purchased leave option
- Discounted access to a range of everyday purchases, including groceries and cinema tickets
- Paid parental leave
- Dedicated time for therapy support activities so you can follow up, communicate, and collaborate more effectively with clients and others involved in their care
Role Summary
As a graduate Speech Pathologist, you will support children in building the communication and functional skills they need for daily life and participation. The work is centred on helping young clients and their families in practical, meaningful ways.
Key Duties
- Support children in reaching developmental milestones, including expressing needs and wants and taking part in everyday play and family activities
- Coach parents, carers, and others involved in the child’s life so they can reinforce language and communication development
- Assist children in developing clearer speech and better pronunciation so they are easier to understand
- Work on stuttering and articulation concerns to help children speak more fluently and confidently
- Address reading, writing, and literacy challenges in partnership with teachers and schools
- Teach children strategies to manage different types of food and drinks safely
Technology and Tools
The organisation plans to introduce Heidi Health in 2026. This Australian-developed platform, created by therapists for therapists, is intended to support session capture, note writing, and reporting so documentation is more accurate and efficient and more time can be spent with clients.
