Role overview
This opportunity is part of a wider effort to develop local engineering talent in the UAE. The position is based in Abu Dhabi and is aimed at recent graduates with a Mechanical Engineering background.
Core purpose
The role supports the engineering function across projects and broader business activities, contributing as needed to day-to-day discipline engineering work.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering in a relevant discipline from a recognized university is required.
- A master’s degree in a related discipline would be considered a strong advantage.
Experience
- Up to 3 years of Oil & Gas experience is expected.
- Prior experience working in the region will be an advantage.
- Oil & Gas design experience is also preferred.
Technical knowledge and skills
- Strong academic grounding in Mechanical Engineering and/or Piping Engineering design.
- Exposure to 2D and 3D CADD tools will be beneficial.
- Experience with PDS or a similar platform is an added plus.
- Understanding of basic engineering workflows and processes.
- Working knowledge of international codes, standards, and engineering best practices.
- Ability to apply foundational design concepts in practical work.
- Capability to analyze technical engineering issues.
- Skill in preparing non-critical engineering design documentation.
- Ability to produce engineering deliverables in line with internal technical competency requirements.
