General Utility Worker

Role Overview

As a General Utility Worker with Aramark Canada in Cambridge, Ontario, you will play a key role in keeping service areas clean, organized, and safe. This position supports dishwashing, sanitation, light upkeep, and general custodial tasks while contributing to a positive guest experience. Key Responsibilities

• Keep dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glassware, kitchen tools, and related equipment thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to support guest satisfaction.
• Maintain the dishwashing area, including the three-compartment sink and surrounding spaces, in a clean and orderly condition.
• Check that equipment remains clean and functional, and escalate any problems to management.
• Carry out light maintenance work and routine custodial duties as needed.
• Provide courteous service and maintain a constructive, professional attitude with guests, customers, clients, and coworkers.
• Follow Aramark’s safety expectations, including food safety and sanitation practices.
• Help protect company property and assets.

Working Conditions

The role can involve physical activity such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, long periods of walking, and extended standing. It may also require wearing a uniform and using personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

Candidates should understand basic sanitation methods and be able to follow safety rules carefully, especially when working around hazardous chemicals. Flexibility is important, as the schedule may include evenings and weekends.
