General Maintenance Worker

Overview

This full-time maintenance role is based at Troy University Dothan in Dothan, Alabama. The schedule is weekdays only, with specific shift timings to be shared during the interview. The position pays between $18 and $23 per hour.

This opportunity is suited to someone who enjoys solving problems, supporting safety, and keeping facilities running smoothly. The work may include a mix of routine upkeep, light repairs, and account-specific tasks depending on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs and maintenance across one or more areas such as minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, electrical repair or installation, and vehicle servicing.
• Complete everyday upkeep tasks such as replacing light bulbs, installing paper dispensers, changing filters, replacing door locks, and handling light decorative maintenance.
• Perform work that does not require a licensed journeyman or other specialized tradesperson.
• Arrive on time and maintain dependable attendance for assigned shifts.
• Handle additional duties as needed, which may vary based on site requirements and business priorities.

What You Need

• You should be dependable, adaptable, team-focused, and committed to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.
• You must hold the proper license or certification for the type of work being performed in the city and state where the job is located.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
