직무 설명

About the Role

Givaudan is looking for a Flavourist to take ownership of selected flavour development work and help bring new taste solutions to life. In this role, you will create and refine flavours that satisfy customer needs, while also incorporating new technologies and improving the way flavour programs are delivered. The position supports tactical planning, process enhancement, and customer-focused innovation within the flavour creation team.

Based in Singapore, you will work at the heart of innovation for the Asia-Pacific region, collaborating with research, creation, and production teams, as well as the company’s perfumery school. Your work will contribute to meaningful innovations that improve food experiences and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take the lead on formulation development for assigned flavour categories, choosing the technical direction and guiding sample preparation to maintain speed and quality.
  • Manage flavour assessment and sensory review activities, review the findings, decide the next actions, and support junior colleagues in the process.
  • Work closely with Senior and Principal Flavourists to define practical goals for flavour programs so that technical work stays aligned with business priorities.
  • Improve the use of digital tools for documentation and performance monitoring, keeping data reliable and information moving smoothly between teams.
  • Act as the main contact for difficult formulation issues, carrying out troubleshooting and root-cause analysis to resolve them efficiently.
  • Turn customer needs and market understanding into clear flavour development strategies that support growth objectives.
  • Lead initiatives that improve formulation workflows, increasing productivity and strengthening quality across flavour categories.
  • Coach trainees and junior flavourists by giving feedback and supporting their development, readiness, and progression.

Educational Background

A polytechnic qualification or a bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or Biology is required.

Experience

You should have at least 10 years of experience as a flavourist after completing a Flavourist Trainee Programme or a comparable industry training path.

Technical Requirements

  • Strong technical and process knowledge in flavour creation, sensory science, and product application across key categories.
  • Hands-on experience in beverage creation will be considered a strong advantage.
  • Ability to use data, analytics, and market information to guide formulation choices and support customer growth.
  • Comfortable working with digital and analytical platforms and improving them to raise project efficiency.
  • Awareness of ingredient technology, regulatory requirements, and consumer insights, with the ability to apply this knowledge in complete solutions.
  • Capable of leading process improvement efforts that reduce lead times and improve consistency in quality.
  • Able to mentor team members on formulation standards and sensory methods, and contribute to technical learning programs.
