The Opportunity
Chubb is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to handle the installation, servicing, fault-finding, and repair of fire alarm systems across new and existing commercial and industrial sites. In this permanent full-time role, you will work on life safety equipment and make sure systems are maintained in line with New Zealand Standards and the Building Act so they operate as required under the applicable standards.
This position is based on a 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday.
What You Need to Succeed
- At least 2 years of experience as a fire alarm technician or in a comparable position.
- Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand.
- Strong fault diagnosis and troubleshooting ability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to produce clear, detailed written reports.
- A clean full New Zealand driver licence and the legal right to live and work in New Zealand.
- No criminal history.
- Commitment to following health and safety requirements.
- NZQA Level 4 Fire Qualification would be a strong advantage.
