Engineer – Smart Water Meter Installations - Bilingual

Role Overview

MACH CONSULTANTS is seeking an experienced engineer to oversee smart water meter installation activities in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on field execution, quality control, compliance, documentation, and coordination with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful deployment across sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the installation of smart water meters at different project locations.
• Make sure all work is carried out in line with approved standards, specifications, and procedures.
• Handle testing, commissioning, and validation of the installed meters.
• Troubleshoot installation and technical issues, and escalate more complex matters when needed.
• Work closely with contractors, supervisors, and internal teams to keep operations running smoothly.
• Track installation quality, workmanship, and on-site compliance throughout field execution.
• Prepare and maintain precise installation logs, site updates, and supporting documentation.
• Contribute to Non-Revenue Water (NRW) reduction efforts by ensuring correct installation practices.
• Follow ISO requirements, health and safety rules, and internal operating policies.
• Keep documentation complete and audit-ready for quality checks and reporting.

Requirements

• 9–12 years of relevant experience is expected for this role.
• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field is required.
• At least 9 years of hands-on experience in water meter installation or utility field operations is necessary.
• Good knowledge of smart water metering systems and water distribution networks is important.
• Exposure to NRW management practices is considered a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities are needed.
• Strong English communication skills are required; Arabic proficiency is an added benefit.
