Engineer - Planning - Site (Procurement)

Role overview

This position focuses on keeping site material flow aligned with the construction programme. The engineer will coordinate procurement timelines with project execution so that materials and services arrive when needed, reducing avoidable delays and helping control both schedule and cost.

Key responsibilities

• Support the preparation of the material requirement plan by matching it with the construction schedule, bill of quantities, and work sequence across civil, MEP, finishing, and other trades.
• Work with execution teams to estimate near-term and longer-term material needs using the 3-week and 1-month lookahead plan, and ensure purchase requests are raised on time.
• Track procurement progress through the procurement register, including purchase request and purchase order creation, lead times, dispatch updates, and actual receipt dates.
• Coordinate with the central procurement function, site stores, and suppliers to monitor shipments and escalate any delays that may affect site work.
• Follow up on procurement-related records such as purchase order copies, delivery challans, material test certificates, inspection reports, and gate entry documents.
