This opportunity is for a seasoned HR leader to oversee human resources across multiple German locations for an international high-technology industrial business. The position is centered on delivering a reliable, high-quality employee experience while improving operating discipline, harmonizing processes and advancing digital HR capabilities throughout Germany.

The role supports roughly 2,000 employees across research and development, engineering, manufacturing and corporate functions. Acting as the main HR partner for Germany, this leader works closely with business management and handles escalated and complex people matters.

Key responsibilities

• Turn the European HR agenda into practical people initiatives for all German sites.
• Work with senior business leaders to connect HR priorities to business goals and growth plans.
• Shape workforce planning, organizational effectiveness and talent strategies that strengthen business results.
• Guide change efforts linked to restructuring, transformation and broader business evolution.
• Maintain consistent, compliant and high-standard HR support across every German location.
• Define, improve and standardize HR processes, policies and governance practices.
• Improve efficiency through process simplification, optimization and continuous improvement methods.
• Lead HR digitalization efforts and use HR systems and technology to raise efficiency and improve the employee journey.
• Track HR performance with KPIs and use data to support decision-making.
• Manage, coach and develop a team of HR Business Partners and encourage strong collaboration.
• Develop trusted relationships with site leadership teams throughout Germany.
• Encourage accountability, inclusion and ongoing improvement within the HR function.
• Act as the most senior HR contact for difficult employee relations and other critical people issues.
• Work closely with Works Councils and employee representatives to support constructive and compliant labor relations.
• Ensure adherence to German labor law, collective agreements and internal company policies.
• Advise on performance management, talent growth, succession planning and leadership development.
• Partner with European HR Centers of Excellence and Shared Services to ensure smooth HR service delivery.
• Contribute to regional and global HR initiatives and help evolve the wider European HR organization.
• Share best practices across countries and business units.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a similar discipline.
• Extensive HR leadership experience in international industrial or high-technology settings.
• Proven ability to lead HR support across multiple sites and geographically spread teams.
• Strong familiarity with manufacturing, engineering and R&D environments.
• Clear success in organizational change, process standardization and HR transformation work.
• Good working knowledge of German labor law and practical experience with Works Councils.
• Background in managing and developing HR Business Partner teams.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while balancing strategy with execution.
• Excellent skills in analysis, communication and leadership.
• Fluency in both German and English, spoken and written.

The position is based in the Greater Munich Metropolitan Area and is a full-time, onsite role.
