Data Scientist

Role Overview

Lincare is looking for a Data Scientist to help advance AI-led initiatives that support business growth, improve productivity, and increase patient lifetime value. In this role, you will use prescriptive, predictive, and informational analytics to surface practical insights and turn complex data into measurable business outcomes.

What You Will Do

• Analyze large, complicated, and sometimes unstructured datasets to prepare them for statistical work and modeling.
• Clean, reshape, and transform data to meet analysis needs, including handling missing values and inconsistent formats.
• Select and apply the most effective approach for each assignment, which may involve machine learning, natural language processing, large language models, deep learning, neural networks, or related AI techniques.
• Build and maintain machine learning models and other analytical solutions that support assigned projects.
• Create reports with advanced formulas and verify results for correctness and reliability.
• Work across multiple data sources and pull accurate information from complex databases based on business and reporting needs.
• Contribute to the planning, design, and long-term development of the company’s AI platform and strategy.
• Identify new opportunities to use AI and data science to improve revenue, efficiency, productivity, and patient lifetime value.
• Collaborate with internal and external technology teams, including project managers, database designers, information architecture teams, and offshore support groups.
• Complete projects efficiently and on schedule while keeping work focused on business impact and measurable outcomes.
• Provide technical guidance and training to other team members as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and follow company policies and standards.

Required Background and Skills

This position calls for strong statistical knowledge, hands-on AI expertise, and solid coding ability. You should be comfortable working on analytical projects from start to finish and using technical tools to turn data into actionable business value.

Technical Requirements

• Experience building machine learning algorithms.
• Knowledge of data engineering practices.
• Working understanding of natural language processing and large language models.
• Strong coding skills in SQL, R-Markdown, and Python.
• Ability to handle complex analytical work on large-scale datasets.
• Comfort working with diverse technical stakeholders across teams.
