Where you'll work
직무 설명
Team Overview
You will be part of Cisco’s Supply Chain Operations group, specifically the Hardware Quality team. This team brings together quality and failure analysis specialists who work closely with design, manufacturing, supplier, and customer-facing teams. The role is focused on turning complex datasets into practical insights that help hardware teams stay ahead of changing customer quality expectations.
Role Impact
In this Quality Data Scientist position, you will help influence Cisco’s quality strategy by building a broader, connected view of the product lifecycle instead of looking at data in isolation. Your work will include creating automated data pipelines, developing predictive models, and building clear, persuasive data stories that support leadership decisions. By working alongside quality engineers and operations teams, you will deliver data-led solutions that identify problems early and improve overall operational effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or another closely related quantitative discipline.
- At least 7 to 10 years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or a similar field, with strong exposure to statistical analysis and quality management.
- Demonstrated ability to use correlation analysis and advanced statistical methods in a business setting.
- Strong analytical thinking, careful attention to detail, a self-starting approach, and the ability to handle several priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Working knowledge of Python or R, along with familiarity with common data science libraries and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- A master’s degree in a quantitative subject is preferred.
- Experience creating data-backed narratives and strategic presentations for senior executives.
- Practical exposure to big data environments and advanced data visualization platforms.
- Solid understanding of end-to-end quality management workflows and the ability to spot and close data gaps in operations.
- Experience building automated monitoring systems that can trigger preventive actions.
