Department Overview

The Baseball Analytics group is the quantitative research and data science function inside Baseball Operations. Its work centers on building statistical models, machine learning systems, and analytical products that guide choices around player acquisition, player development, and player optimization. The team’s day-to-day work includes forecasting, applied research, experimentation, and translating technical results into clear baseball insights.

Role Summary

The Boston Red Sox are looking for a Data Scientist to join the Baseball Analytics department and help create, test, and improve predictive models that strengthen decision-making across Baseball Operations.
