Role overview
This contract Data Scientist position is fully remote and is expected to require around 10 to 40 hours of work per week. The role focuses on turning complex datasets into reliable insights, models, and visual outputs that support decision-making.
What you’ll do
- Gather data from different sources, then clean, structure, and prepare it so it can be used effectively for analysis.
- Create, test, and put statistical models into practice to surface useful business insights from large and complex datasets.
- Carry out exploratory analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and improvement opportunities.
- Summarize results through clear dashboards, charts, and reports that can be understood by both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Work with the broader team to plan and deliver data projects from the initial idea through final execution.
- Keep refining analysis methods and automating workflows to make data processes more efficient.
What we’re looking for
- Solid hands-on background in statistics, mathematics, and analytical methods.
- Experience working with large, complex datasets, including cleaning and data preparation.
- Programming skills in Python, R, or a comparable language for data handling and modeling.
- Strong grasp of data modeling and experience building and validating predictive models.
- Advanced visualization capabilities using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar libraries.
