About the Role
GEMS Founders School in Abu Dhabi is part of a British Schools Overseas accredited environment that has achieved Outstanding ratings across all standards. The Data Executive will support school-wide information management, reporting, and coordination across multiple teams. This role requires accuracy, strong organisation, and the ability to work collaboratively with academic, administrative, medical, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the SENCo to keep SEN and IEP records complete and current.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure sensitive health data is securely available to authorised staff.
- Support internal examinations by liaising with the Examinations Officer.
- Partner with the Operations team to assist with the student dispersal process.
- Support the Data and Assessment lead by helping maintain proper data collection practices and reporting workflows in SIMS.
- Collaborate with timetable leaders, Heads of Year, and Heads of Subject to prepare class lists for the upcoming academic year.
- Enter and transfer school data accurately using assessment systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Create and format reports that highlight trends and patterns in school data.
- Update information across MIS modules as required.
- Add students and staff to the MIS, and set up user accounts and login access.
- Produce and regularly refresh class lists, medical reports, dietary reports, and attendance reports.
- Train teaching and administrative staff on selected systems, with emphasis on SIMS.
- Provide guidance on assessment data entry and recording procedures.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science or a closely related equivalent qualification.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in a comparable data management or school administration role.
- Strong analytical and logical thinking abilities.
- Advanced ICT capability, including practical knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills.
- A solid understanding of school operations and data management systems.
- Ability to work well in a team and maintain a service-focused approach.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
