Curriculum Developer, 2 Hour Learning (Remote)

Role overview

This position is part of the 2-Hour Learning model behind Alpha Anywhere, where students cover a full academic day in only two intensive hours and then spend the rest of the day on creative and physical pursuits. As a Curriculum Developer, you will help keep that model effective while also shaping how it evolves.

Working from any location with reliable internet, you will transform large sets of AI-produced learner data into clear, timely actions that help students move toward 90% mastery and beyond. When a learner gets stuck, you will step in with live coaching, resolve the issue quickly, and help rebuild confidence and momentum. You will also look for patterns in performance data, uncover hidden opportunities for improvement, and help develop new AI tools that can increase learning speed.

Your work will have visible impact on students, parents, and the wider learning system. Every insight, automation, and question you raise will contribute to faster progress and stronger outcomes.

What you will do

• Create highly accurate academic data reports and analyze them systematically to spot problems, identify anomalies, and trigger corrections within 48 hours.
• Run rapid intervention sessions and follow-up coaching conversations to remove barriers, separate conceptual gaps from execution mistakes, and keep learners engaged.
• Evaluate and roll out new learning applications and content, while also building AI and LLM prototypes that improve teaching methods and solve targeted challenges.
• Work closely with leadership to refine dashboards, tools, and mastery benchmarks as the AI tutor develops.
• Use academic and engagement data to improve student outcomes across the network, including learning speed, app usage, lesson understanding, response accuracy, and reduction of negative learning patterns.

What this role is not

• This is not a meeting-heavy position focused on presentations with little connection to results.
• You will not be grading assignments, drafting lesson plans, or running traditional school programs; the work is centered on AI and innovation.
• The role is hands-on and execution-oriented, not limited to high-level strategy or repetitive routine work.

Requirements

• Experience in data science or a similar analytical role, or in education, EdTech, or student support with a mix of analysis and interpersonal work.
• Strong working knowledge of Google Sheets, including lookups, pivot tables, and filtering.
• High emotional intelligence, strong communication skills, and a warm, child-friendly coaching style.
• Experience creating workflows and automations using AI.
• At least 1 year of experience working closely with K-8 students.
• Availability during core working hours of 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Central Time, Monday through Friday.

Preferred background

• Exposure to learning science, educational principles, or success improving outcomes through data-led methods.
• Experience with generative AI, prompt writing, and basic coding such as Python or JavaScript for querying AI APIs.

Working arrangement

This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week and is intended to be long term. It is available immediately and requires signing an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as Contractor of Record. Compensation is $30 USD per hour, which equals $60,000 USD per year based on 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. Pay is issued weekly.
