About the role
Join a growing Clinical Informatics team focused on improving how clinical operations use data, visualization, and accessible tools. The role partners closely with Clinical Operations to understand business needs, shape practical solutions, and build data products that improve efficiency. You will be trained to review study protocols and collaborate with Clinical Trial Managers, as well as work with software engineers on both tailored and organization-wide solutions.
What you'll do
- Assess data requirements for assigned studies and suggest the most effective approach based on the study design.
- Partner with operational and medical stakeholders to help create useful and innovative data products.
- Work with relational data at both study and enterprise level, including querying, cleaning, analyzing, and reporting.
- Develop algorithms that can describe, categorize, and forecast operational results in clinical trials.
- Contribute to process improvement efforts within the department.
What we're looking for
- A bachelor's degree in informatics, computer science/engineering, biomedical engineering, health information, statistics, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical ability and a careful eye for detail.
- Capability to handle multiple priorities within a sprint-based workflow.
- Clear and effective verbal communication skills.
- Hands-on programming experience in R or Python.
- Clinical research background is preferred.
- Experience creating web applications with Shiny or Streamlit is preferred.
- Experience building dashboards with PowerBI, Tableau, or Spotfire is preferred.
