Chief Accountant

Role Overview

An experienced Chief Accountant is needed in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia to support the finance function of a confidential employer. The role calls for a qualified accounting professional who can strengthen reporting, compliance, planning, and control processes within a fast-paced business environment. Prior exposure to hospitality or catering operations is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the management of day-to-day financial activities, including budget preparation, forecasting, and reporting.
• Develop and present MIS reports that help guide business and strategic decisions.
• Maintain adherence to Saudi Arabian financial rules and applicable international accounting standards.
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Help design and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal control systems.
• Track cash position, liquidity, and working capital to support financial health.
• Perform financial reviews and analysis to generate practical business insights.
• Work with external auditors and support timely audit completion.
• Communicate with banks, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to sustain professional relationships.
• Assist with annual budgeting and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Spot opportunities to reduce costs and improve overall financial performance.
• Support senior leadership with financial planning, including variance analysis and financial modeling.
• Ensure payroll and employee settlement processes are accurate and compliant.

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or an equivalent professional accounting credential.
• At least 7 years of experience in a comparable accounting leadership role.
• Experience in hospitality and catering is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Saudi Arabian financial regulations.
• Solid analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Preference for candidates already based locally and holding a transferable visa.
• Immediate joiners will have an advantage.
