Role Overview
This position is for a CAD Engineer with Larsen & Toubro in Surat, Gujarat. The role centers on producing precise drafting and detailing outputs for civil and structural work, while coordinating with project teams to keep drawings accurate and updated.
What You Will Do
- Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models with a high level of quality and accuracy.
- Draft shop drawings, general arrangement drawings, rebar detailing, construction method drawings, and steel fabrication and erection drawings.
- Revise drawings when client inputs, site conditions, or engineering changes require updates.
- Prepare and track the Bill of Materials (BOM), Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and the drawing register.
- Keep project drawings and records maintained, corrected, and current.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD or comparable structural detailing software.
- Solid understanding of civil engineering design concepts, materials, and connection details.
- ITI certification or a diploma in civil drafting/engineering.
- Excellent precision in drafting and calculations.
- Good spoken and written communication for coordination with project stakeholders.
