Role Overview
Alftek International is seeking a BIM Coordinator to work in Doha, Qatar on a full-time, on-site basis. The position is offered under company sponsorship, with an immediate joining requirement and a project duration of 3 years.
Key Responsibilities
The selected professional will coordinate Building Information Modeling activities across multiple disciplines and support project execution throughout the construction phase.
- Manage BIM coordination tasks for architectural, structural, and MEP teams.
- Review BIM models and drawings to identify and resolve clashes.
- Support project execution by ensuring BIM workflows align with site and construction requirements.
- Monitor project standards, documentation, and coordination procedures.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary stakeholders to maintain alignment across deliverables.
- Prepare BIM-related reports and contribute to project outputs as needed.
- Assist with construction drawing review and site coordination activities.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Qatar.
- Relevant background in construction and contracting environments.
- Practical experience in BIM coordination and project delivery.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams, including architectural, structural, and MEP functions.
- Strong knowledge of BIM model management, drawing review, and clash detection processes.
- Familiarity with construction standards, workflows, and BIM documentation practices.
- Understanding of construction drawings and site coordination requirements.
- Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and similar BIM tools.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Must already be locally available in Qatar.
- Immediate joining, or joining on short notice, is preferred.
