About the Role

COBS Bread is hiring a Baker in Grimsby, Ontario. This is a hands-on full-time, on-site position for someone who enjoys early starts, working with a small team, and making fresh baked goods for the local community. No previous baking experience is required if you bring the right attitude and a willingness to learn.

What You’ll Do

• Work with a small crew to prepare baked goods each morning by following established recipes.
• Help keep the bakery tidy and support a positive customer experience.
• Read production plans and recipes, measure and combine ingredients, shape dough, and manage items through the ovens.

The ideal candidate is an early riser who can work well on their own or as part of a small team. You should take pride in the products the bakery offers to the community, bring a positive attitude, stay organized, and be committed to your own growth as well as the success of the team and business.

Physical Demands

• Continuous standing and walking throughout the shift.
• Regular lifting and carrying of up to 22 kg.
• Frequent reaching and turning.
• Occasional pushing, pulling, and forward bending.
• Ability to lift at least 2.5 kg to a height of 1.7 meters.
• Constant use of both hands, with frequent wrist rotation and flexing, plus occasional forceful gripping.
