Role overview

The AutoCAD Technician will create scaffold system designs and layout drawings for construction projects throughout the region. The position supports commercial and industrial work by producing safe, practical, and efficient scaffold solutions tailored to each site.

What you will do

• Prepare detailed scaffold layout drawings for construction projects.
• Design exterior scaffolding around building exteriors, interior elevated work platforms, and industrial scaffold systems for tanks and other complex structures.
• Work with project teams and clients to deliver solutions that are workable, code-aware, and aligned to project needs.
• Support both internal and external project requirements for commercial and industrial contractors.
• Take on additional duties when needed, as this summary does not cover every task in the role.

What the role requires

• Strong mechanical understanding and solid spatial reasoning.
• Hands-on proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Ability to read, understand, and work from blueprints and technical drawings.
• Good communication and problem-solving ability.
• Above-average mathematical ability.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Prior experience in scaffolding or a construction-related environment.

Physical demands

This position may involve bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg) or more, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments depending on the project.

Compensation and benefits

The base pay range for this role is 28.26 to 40.62. The starting rate can vary based on factors such as the specific position, location, education, training, and experience.
