Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Overview

A major main contractor is looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to strengthen its expanding commercial team in Dublin. The role will involve supporting delivery across a portfolio of sizeable construction schemes throughout Dublin, including residential and mixed-use developments with multi-phase and landmark characteristics.

What you will do

• Support the commercial administration of projects from early stages through to final account completion.
• Prepare and assist with cost reporting, valuations, change control, and subcontractor payments.
• Help manage subcontractor and supplier procurement.
• Track project spend and contribute to keeping budgets under control.
• Work alongside the wider project team to spot and manage commercial exposure and risk.
• Keep records up to date and assist with contract-related administration.

What the employer is looking for

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a closely related subject.
• Prior experience in an Assistant Quantity Surveyor role with a main contractor.
• Exposure to residential, mixed-use, commercial, or other large-scale building projects.
• Strong commercial judgement and solid organisational ability.
• The ability to collaborate effectively within a project team.
