Role overview
O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) is looking for an Assistant Manager to support day-to-day business operations and help keep teams, processes, and service standards running smoothly at its Sonipat, Haryana location.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Manager in handling everyday operational work.
- Guide team members and provide active supervision when needed.
- Maintain strong customer experience standards and work toward high satisfaction levels.
- Review staff performance and share helpful feedback for improvement.
- Address customer concerns calmly and work toward practical resolutions.
- Coordinate schedules, attendance tracking, and workflow planning.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of employees.
- Keep inventory, records, and routine reports up to date.
- Follow company policies and safety requirements consistently.
- Contribute to meeting sales goals and operational targets.
Skills and qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred, or relevant equivalent experience.
- Prior exposure to supervision or team leadership is desirable.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed.
- Good coordination, planning, and multitasking abilities are important.
- Capability to solve problems and make sound decisions.
- Comfort with basic computer use, including MS Office and reporting tools.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
