Role overview
Join a locally owned and operated store that serves the community with health, beauty, and convenience services while keeping customer care at the heart of every decision. In this position, you will support the Front Store Manager in overseeing the store’s people, physical setup, and financial resources, with a strong focus on improving the movement of goods from the backroom to the sales floor and helping the business meet its goals.
Operations and store support
- Help maintain store presentation and operating standards so the customer experience stays strong, traffic is encouraged, and store profitability improves.
- Work alongside the management team to make sure store standards are consistently followed, including the backroom area.
- Assist the Front Store Manager with labour planning and use workforce management tools to improve labour productivity.
- Make sure staffing levels are sufficient for smooth day-to-day business operations.
Human resources support
- Follow all required human resources standards and practices.
- Support hiring efforts with the Front Store Manager for all departments except Pharmacy.
- Help maintain wage administration in line with company guidelines.
- Promote a positive culture, build engagement, and motivate the team through leadership aligned with core values.
Qualifications and capabilities
- Strong planning, judgement, and decision-making ability.
- Experience planning and preparing for inventory management.
- Sound judgment when managing expenses and resources.
- Ability to lead effectively, coach staff, and support ongoing development.
- Good time management and the ability to shift priorities quickly as business needs change.
- Well-developed organization and planning skills.
Experience profile
- Background in retail management.
- Proven ability to help grow the business, lead by example, and support corporate programs.
- Comfort working closely with a management team.
- Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness and financial understanding.
- Ability to build relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Compensation
