Applications & Devops Consultant

Role overview

The Applications & DevOps Consultant will oversee post-sales delivery by reviewing solution requirements, adapting to evolving customer needs, and shaping both on-premises and cloud migration approaches. The role combines application development and infrastructure expertise to help customers design and implement scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support proof-of-concept work and proposal responses, and help bring opportunities to closure from both pre-sales and implementation angles.
• Guide customers in building resilient, scalable application architectures using Microsoft technologies.
• Partner closely with client stakeholders across business, development, and infrastructure functions.
• Contribute as both an application developer and infrastructure specialist.
• Apply DevOps methods, including infrastructure automation, continuous integration, and automated release delivery.
• Take part in design, build, review, and testing activities for application and data modernization initiatives.
• Ensure data storage and processing are aligned with internal security requirements and cloud security best practices.
• Bring strong software architecture expertise, especially in cloud design principles and patterns.
• Investigate and resolve infrastructure weaknesses and application deployment challenges.
• Work with engineering and development teams to assess and select the most suitable cloud options.
• Define and drive the modernization path for applications moving to Azure.
• Use tools such as ARM, Azure Policy, and Blueprints within integrated Azure deployment pipelines.
• Contribute to internal research and development initiatives and participate in the wider professional community.
• Follow information security policies for both the company and clients, maintaining compliance throughout all work.
• Keep technical certifications and expertise current to support high-level advisory work for prospective customers.
• Handle technical sales discussions and calls.

Requirements

• Strong familiarity with AI tools and the ability to create AI proof-of-concepts and production-ready applications.
• Background as a full-stack developer with solid hands-on experience.
• Knowledge of cloud environments, with Azure preferred.
• Prior exposure to DevOps practices is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or another related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer.

Additional information

This is a post-sales consulting role that blends solution architecture, cloud modernization, DevOps implementation, and customer-facing technical advisory. The position is based in Doha, Qatar, and is intended for onsite work.
