Role Summary
This position is for a careful and accountable AP/AR Assistant who will help manage finance operations by handling transactions accurately, keeping records organized, and working with relevant parties to ensure payments are processed on time and procedures remain compliant.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and process accounts payable and accounts receivable entries with accuracy to support daily finance operations.
- Issue invoices, debit notes, and payment vouchers to support billing, collections, and payment workflows.
- Track customer receipts and follow up on unpaid balances to help maintain healthy cash flow.
- Review supplier invoices and the related supporting paperwork to confirm correctness and compliance.
- Carry out data entry and keep accounting records up to date and suitable for audit checks.
- Support bank reconciliation work and monthly closing tasks for reporting purposes.
- File and organize finance documents properly so they can be retrieved easily and meet compliance needs.
- Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and customers on finance-related issues and work toward quick resolution.
- Provide additional administrative support to the finance team as needed to improve overall efficiency.
Required Competencies and Certifications
- ACCA, CPA, or another equivalent accounting qualification.
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field.
- At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable or accounts receivable work.
- Working understanding of accounting fundamentals and bookkeeping methods.
- Comfort using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel for processing and financial analysis.
- Valid Singapore work authorization without the need for visa sponsorship.
Preferred Competencies and Qualifications
- Exposure to accounting software that can improve the speed and accuracy of transaction handling.
- Good communication and relationship-building skills for dealing with stakeholders.
- Ability to work on your own as well as cooperate effectively with a team.
- Strong time management and multitasking ability in a busy work environment.
- Ability to speak and write Chinese to communicate with Chinese-speaking overseas business contacts and partners in a multinational setting.
