Role overview
This position is for experienced Graphic and Visual Designers who can contribute as domain experts on a high-level AI evaluation initiative. The assignment is paid at $30 per hour and is designed for professionals who can assess design quality beyond surface-level aesthetics. The work centers on judging whether AI-generated design outputs are practical, legible, well-structured, and suitable for real-world use.
The project is flexible and task-based, allowing you to apply your design judgment in short, ad hoc activities that help improve how AI systems understand layout, typography, visual hierarchy, and information density.
What the role involves
- Compare two design options side by side, such as slides, posters, or advertisements, and decide which one better meets professional design standards.
- Assess work across key criteria like readability, amount of text, hierarchy of information, and overall polish.
- Check before-and-after edit tasks to determine which AI output more accurately followed a requested design change.
- Participate in new experimental tasks that help improve AI performance on concise visual communication challenges.
What you need to bring
- Formal training in Graphic Design or Visual Design, together with at least 1 year of relevant professional experience, or alternatively 5+ years of advanced experience working with professional clients.
- Working knowledge of industry tools and concepts such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
- The ability to judge whether a design is simply attractive or truly suitable for business and enterprise use, with strong attention to readability and structure.
- A portfolio or work-sample link that can be reviewed during screening.
Additional skills and advantages
- Experience in Interaction Design or Motion Graphics is a plus.
- Background in Brand Building, Advertising, or Marketing is also beneficial.
