Role and Responsibilities
You will join a team of full-stack developers working on a broad AI toolkit that includes skills assessment, role-play experiences, AI tutoring, interactive video creation, podcast generation, and more. The AI Productivity Engineering team creates custom internal tools, dashboards, and AI-driven applications for the IBM sales organization as well as for business partners and clients.
Education
A bachelor’s degree is preferred for this position.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Hands-on software development experience.
- Practical experience with Ruby on Rails.
- Basic understanding of large language models (LLMs).
- Experience implementing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
- Experience in Python development.
- Experience in Java development.
- Proven track record on enterprise-scale software projects.
- Excellent written and spoken communication abilities.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Development experience on Linux and/or Windows environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and APIs.
- Understanding of prompt engineering and model tuning.
- Experience with relational databases or NoSQL databases.

This role is based in Markham, Wales, United Kingdom and is an onsite full-time position.
