Role overview

An established, award-winning chartered accountancy firm in County Meath is looking for an Accounts Technician to strengthen its expanding team. The position offers the chance to work with a wide mix of clients while enjoying flexible working arrangements and room for professional growth.

What you will do

  • Prepare supporting schedules and financial statements in line with the relevant accounting standards and internal procedures.
  • Compile management accounts on a quarterly and half-yearly basis.
  • Complete and submit VAT, VAT RTD, and RCT returns.
  • Assist with drafting year-end files.
  • Carry out bank reconciliations.
  • Handle client questions promptly and professionally.
  • Work both on your own initiative and as part of a wider team.
  • Provide support on additional tasks and ad hoc assignments when needed.

Experience and qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in a comparable role within an accountancy practice.
  • An Accounting Technician qualification or IPASS certification.
  • Strong people skills and clear communication abilities.
  • Well-developed organisation and time management skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to take responsibility for your work.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
