Role overview
Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Technical Software Support professional to help solve customer issues related to the Varian oncology software suite. The role focuses on applying technical knowledge to identify faults, restore service quickly, and support customers in a way that reduces disruption.

Core responsibilities
- Handle support requests from a remote environment, investigate technical problems, and involve higher-level teams when a case needs escalation.
- Work to bring affected systems back into normal operation as fast as possible so downtime is kept to a minimum.
- Keep accurate records of every support interaction and action taken in the CRM system.
- Assist with software installations, upgrades, routine maintenance, and customer training activities.
- Observe workplace health and safety standards, quality expectations, and company processes consistently.
Required background
- Solid troubleshooting ability across multiple IT layers, including networks, infrastructure, and Windows or Linux environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of Windows Server, networking concepts, and virtualised environments.
- Practical exposure to one or more of the following: Microsoft SQL Server, Citrix, Microsoft Azure, or Linux-based systems.
- A qualification in IT or a closely related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience supporting medical IT systems is an advantage.
- Willingness to work outside normal business hours when needed.
- Must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
