Technical Product Manager – WAN & Network Connectivity

The employer is seeking a Technical Product Manager focused on WAN and network connectivity in Ireland. The role is centered on large-scale cloud infrastructure and the way global regions, data centers, and customer environments are connected through high-performance networking.

You will define the vision and product direction for WAN and underlay connectivity capabilities that support advanced AI and cloud workloads. In partnership with senior network engineers and other internal teams, you will turn sophisticated networking functions into scalable, dependable, customer-facing products. The position is highly technical, moves quickly, and involves close collaboration across architecture, capacity planning, and service design. Your work will have a direct effect on latency, throughput, and reliability across a worldwide AI cloud platform. Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of, and set priorities for, the backlog covering WAN and underlay networking services such as backbone links, interconnects, peering, and transport systems.
• Build and guide the roadmap for connectivity across regions, data centers, and clouds, with an emphasis on scalable expansion and network efficiency.
• Convert advanced network engineering capabilities into product requirements for connectivity offerings, including bandwidth tiers, QoS, traffic engineering, and Direct Connect-style services.
• Work with network engineering teams on routing, transport, and capacity planning, including congestion control, path selection, and SLA design.
• Drive cross-functional programs with engineering, infrastructure, product marketing, and go-to-market stakeholders to launch connectivity solutions.
• Make sure WAN services consistently meet demanding targets for latency, throughput, availability, reliability, and security across global deployments.

Requirements

• Strong technical grounding in large WAN, backbone, or service-provider network settings, including hyperscalers, telecom operators, ISPs, or large enterprise infrastructure teams.
• Practical exposure to networking technologies such as BGP, MPLS, EVPN-VXLAN, SR/SRv6, L2/L3 VPNs, DWDM/optical transport, traffic engineering, and large-scale QoS.
• Good understanding of interconnect structures, including peering, IXPs, private interconnects, transit, and the economics of WAN capacity.
• Deep knowledge in at least two areas such as backbone architecture, routing and traffic engineering, ISP networking, interconnect platforms, or SLA-based transport systems.
• Demonstrated ability to steer complex technical initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholders in distributed environments.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect deep networking detail with product-level decision making.
• Background in hyperscaler, cloud provider, telecom, or similarly high-scale infrastructure environments is preferred.
• Prior product management experience is not mandatory, but strong technical leadership and a willingness to grow into product ownership are essential.
