Role overview

B&Q Ireland is hiring a full-time Shift Lead for its Navan, County Meath store on a permanent contract. The role is based on 36.75 hours per week and offers a full-time equivalent salary of £27,709.50 per year. This is a keyholder position, with working times that can begin as early as 6:00am and finish as late as 10:00pm.

As a Shift Lead, you will help create a safe place to work and shop while ensuring the store runs smoothly throughout your shift. The role plays an important part in delivering a positive experience for both colleagues and customers, supporting the company’s goal of making every customer count.

What you will do

• Keep day-to-day store activity on track and make sure operations are running efficiently.
• Allocate colleagues appropriately so customer needs are met during the shift.
• Act as the main contact for both customers and team members.
• Maintain a safe store environment at all times.

The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, comfortable taking a broad view of the store, and confident making decisions quickly and independently. You should also be attentive to safety and compliance, enjoy working with others, and be able to energise and motivate the team around you.
