Role Overview
Green Infrastructure Partners is hiring a Scheduler in Hamilton, Ontario, to support pursuit and operations teams with estimating, planning, and schedule control for a range of contracts.
Project Planning and Scheduling
- Create project milestones and review work activities to make sure they align with milestone targets.
- Partner with the project team to build bid and baseline schedules for multi-year projects in Primavera P6, resource-loaded at the activity level, while maintaining constructability, schedule integrity, key milestones, constraints, stakeholder needs, and other contractual commitments.
- Advise site and multidisciplinary teams on the best seasons or time windows for carrying out work so seasonal and environmental restrictions are minimized.
- Identify timing issues and scheduling conflicts caused by handoffs, dependencies, and cross-discipline restraints.
- Keep forecasts current through the project life cycle by confirming schedules are updated correctly and connected to master schedules prepared by third parties.
- Review, or support the review of, schedule-related proposal terms and prepare backup data for contract negotiations.
Schedule Monitoring and Analysis
- Perform ongoing critical path reviews and work closely with the Project Manager to flag potential impacts, efficiencies, and near-critical activities.
- Call out present and possible delays, and help drive mitigation and recovery actions.
- Support schedule monitoring, review, and analysis through all project phases, including deviation analysis and corrective actions.
- Assess subcontractor schedules and track forecast completion dates to confirm plans are realistic and attainable, then report variances as needed.
- Track and report critical path changes and overall project schedule performance.
- Assist with schedule studies and problem-area reviews to assess criticality and seek guidance from the Project Manager when needed.
Reporting, Collaboration and Data Management
- Lead weekly and periodic progress meetings with site leadership to collect updates and discuss progress, changes, and deviations.
- Collect and interpret project information from internal and external sources.
- Provide current schedule insights, trends, forecasts, and planning input for weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly project reports.
- Review contract documents, drawings, specifications, and other project records relevant to the assigned scope.
Claims Support and Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Commercial and Engineering teams to prepare schedule inputs and outputs that support claims management.
Requirements
- University degree in Business, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and proven experience.
- Background in the Transportation/Civil sector is required; experience with roads and bridges is an asset.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a Planner/Scheduler position.
- Valid G driver’s licence and access to a personal vehicle.
- Willingness to travel to job sites across Ontario.
- Strong results orientation and ability to perform in a fast-moving environment.
- Analytical, outcome-focused thinker with the ability to assess information visually and drive continuous improvement.
- Comfortable building relationships and engaging with others to understand different viewpoints.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to set priorities and handle multiple competing demands effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
The expected base pay range for this role is $40,000 to $65,000 per year, with the final offer depending on experience, qualifications, internal equity, work location, and market conditions.
