Role Overview
As a Project Scheduler, you will build and manage resource-loaded, logic-based critical path schedules that support the planning and delivery of capital projects. In this role, you will partner with teams across Engineering, Supply Management, Project Management, and Construction to help ensure successful execution of sustaining capital and capital growth work across the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Create and keep current fully integrated project schedules that include resources and logical task dependencies
- Bring contractor schedules into the master project schedule so timelines remain aligned and consistent
- Organize and run schedule-development workshops with stakeholders from Engineering, Supply Management, contractors, and Construction
- Spot and explain critical and near-critical path activities, including float analysis
- Provide accurate and timely reviews of contractor schedules, progress updates, and schedule reports
- Evaluate schedule data such as manpower needs, forecasted work, percent complete, and major risks and opportunities
- Work with Project Controls and Estimating teams so schedule, cost, and scope remain aligned
- Use established scheduling processes, standards, and industry best practices
- Look for ways to improve scheduling practices and work with stakeholders to implement better approaches
- Lead or support schedule review meetings to check logic, sequencing, resource planning, and constraints
Skills and Attributes
- Strong focus on safety
- Ability to perform well in a fast-moving, project-based environment
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with a broad range of stakeholders, from field teams to senior leaders
- Working knowledge of data analysis tools and methods, including Power BI or similar platforms for reporting and visualization
- Collaborative, team-first approach with strong interpersonal abilities
- Ability to evaluate and communicate the impact of project changes, including CPI and SPI indicators
Experience and Education
- Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering, or Engineering Technology
- 1 to 10 years of experience creating Level 1 to Level 5 schedules in Primavera P6 or an equivalent tool
- Background supporting capital projects in Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Power, or other heavy industrial environments
- Solid understanding of project delivery stages such as FEL, execution, and commissioning, along with the related activities and deliverables
