Pharmacy Data Analyst

Role overview

This position supports pharmacy data operations for client work in a fast-moving environment that requires strong organization, professionalism, and flexibility when priorities shift. The role helps ensure data workflows stay on track and that operations and consulting teams can deliver accurate, timely insights to clients.

What you will do

• Prepare monthly and quarterly client report books from the internal pharmacy data warehouse, then review them for accuracy.
• Check data for logical consistency and compare it with key performance indicators received from the Pharmacy Benefit Manager vendor.
• Build expertise in reconciling pharmacy pricing guarantees for clients on quarterly and annual cycles.
• Use the internal pharmacy data warehouse and reporting tools to generate both routine and ad hoc reports for the consulting team.
• Create financial models and client-facing reports, explain what the analysis means, and suggest recommended actions.
• Support a designated client book of business, including work tied to marketing, claims, reporting, and administration.
• Monitor daily client issues related to pharmacy plans and help close outstanding items.
• Maintain internal and external project timelines for renewals, RFPs, reporting cycles, and other deliverables.
• Learn to interpret current client contract terms and pharmacy program details, identify gaps or alternatives, and update contract records in the database.
• Assist with implementation planning and help consulting teams deliver client work products.
• Review agreements and related documents to support best-in-class terms and provisions.
• Keep the client CRM current with relevant account information.
• Partner with the internal data operations team to protect and improve client data quality.
• Take on additional duties as needed.

What you need

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline, or equivalent experience in the insurance field.
• 1–2 years of experience in insurance, especially employee welfare benefits or pharmacy data analytics.
• Prior exposure to the Pharmacy Benefit Management industry is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Strong spoken and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Solid client service skills and the ability to build relationships across multiple accounts.
• Comfort working with vendors and external partners.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Self-driven attitude with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
