Painter / Polisher

Role Overview

Rosewood Red Sea is seeking a Painter / Polisher for an ultra-luxury resort setting. This position focuses on preparing, coating, painting, and finishing a wide range of surfaces across buildings, equipment, and structures. The work must be completed to a high standard, with strong attention to durability, appearance, and compliance with safety and environmental rules, especially when dealing with chemical- and petroleum-based materials.

What You Will Do

• Get surfaces ready for painting by scraping, sanding, filling, and cleaning them.
• Apply primers, paints, varnishes, sealants, and industrial coatings with brushes, rollers, or spray tools.
• Polish metal, wood, and painted surfaces to achieve the required finish.
• Blend paints and coatings to match the right color, texture, and consistency.
• Mask and protect surrounding areas before and during application work.
• Check finished work against specifications and quality expectations.
• Spot issues such as cracks, peeling, or corrosion and correct them.
• Keep color, texture, and finish uniform across all treated surfaces.
• Use and care for painting and polishing equipment such as spray guns, buffers, and compressors.
• Clean tools after use and store them properly.
• Flag any faulty equipment for repair or replacement.
• Carry out routine maintenance painting to help prevent corrosion and wear.
• Keep work areas tidy and dispose of waste materials correctly.
• Assist with general facility maintenance and upkeep as needed.
• Handle paints, thinners, solvents, and petroleum-based products according to MSDS guidance.
• Use required PPE, including respirators, gloves, goggles, and protective clothing.
• Make sure work areas are well ventilated to reduce exposure to fumes.
• Follow safe handling practices and avoid unnecessary exposure to hazardous substances.
• Comply with workplace safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Store and label flammable and hazardous materials correctly.
• Reduce fire risks by handling and disposing of chemical waste properly.
• Take part in safety drills and training sessions.
• Limit waste and ensure environmentally responsible disposal of paints and chemicals.
• Prevent spills and contamination of nearby areas.

Skills and Requirements

• Solid understanding of painting methods and surface preparation.
• Practical knowledge of polishing tools and finishing techniques.
• Awareness of chemical handling rules and safety standards.
• Strong eye for detail and commitment to quality.
• Physical endurance and the ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.
• Basic troubleshooting ability for tools, coatings, and application issues.

Additional Information

This is a full-time onsite role based in Saudi Arabia. The position involves working with hazardous materials, so strict attention to safety, ventilation, PPE, and environmental controls is essential.
