Role overview
Overseas Family School is looking for energetic and experienced Learning Support Assistant Teachers for its Kindergarten and Elementary School teams. This position sits within the Inclusive Education and Therapy Team and focuses on helping students access learning, participate fully, and make progress toward their individual potential.
The role involves partnering with the Learning Support teacher and working under the classroom teacher’s guidance to deliver targeted support and interventions. You will also contribute to the school’s broader inclusive education and therapy efforts.
This is a strong opportunity to join a developing team in an inclusive international school and learn from in-house specialists in Speech & Language, Occupational Therapy, and Social-emotional Learning.
Key duties
You may support students across both Kindergarten and Elementary levels, working with a range of learning needs and abilities. Support may be provided one-to-one or in small groups.
- Provide targeted learning support and intervention under teacher direction.
- Assist students individually or in small-group settings.
- Supervise children during playground time.
- Carry out basic personal care and toileting support where needed.
- Help create teaching aids and learning resources.
- Contribute to inclusive classroom practice and wider school initiatives.
- Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and the wider school community.
What the school is looking for
Applicants should be patient, empathetic early educators who are committed to building a nurturing learning environment. Strong communication, time management, and flexibility are important for success in this role.
Experience in an international school is preferred but not mandatory. Prior work supporting children with mild to moderate additional learning needs and autism is required. Experience with an Early Intervention model will be considered an added advantage. Familiarity with English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners is also preferred.
Qualifications
Candidates from Early Years Education, Special/Inclusive Education, or Teaching backgrounds are preferred. A minimum diploma is required, and recent university graduates may also apply.

Applicants should be comfortable using information technology in daily work and prepared to support the learning and care needs of young children as part of a collaborative school environment.
