Role overview
A fast-growing edtech startup is hiring a Junior Data Analyst to join its Market Intelligence team. This is a strong early-career opportunity for someone looking to build depth in analytics while taking real ownership from the outset. The position is fully remote within the UK and is based on trust, self-management, and accountability rather than close supervision.
Key responsibilities
- Collect, cleanse, and organize data so it is accurate, usable, and ready for analysis.
- Use SQL to extract, join, and prepare datasets for reporting and insight generation.
- Create and support dashboards that the wider business depends on.
- Translate data findings into straightforward insights that non-technical stakeholders can understand.
- Identify data-quality problems early and resolve them before they affect reporting or decisions.
Requirements
- Confident intermediate-level SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, and filtering, are essential.
- Strong Google Sheets ability, including pivot tables, lookups, and data cleaning.
- Some hands-on experience producing basic reports or dashboards.
- Excellent attention to detail and a habit of investigating the underlying cause of issues.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to ask thoughtful questions and work independently.
Nice to have
Experience with a CRM such as HubSpot, familiarity with BI or dashboarding tools, or using AI within a data workflow would be an advantage.
Offer and working conditions
This role is fully remote for UK-based candidates only. Visa sponsorship is not available. The salary is up to £30,000 per year, and the package includes pension contributions. The company also offers unlimited holiday with a minimum of 25 days, an annual learning and development budget, and a £1,000 home setup budget.
