About the Company
Musgrave is a long-established, family-run European business with 150 years of heritage in food and brand development. The company supports communities across Ireland and Spain and reaches one in every three people each day through brands such as SuperValu, Centra, Mace, Frank and Honest, and Musgrave MarketPlace. Its work includes backing thousands of retail and foodservice family businesses, with a strong focus on making a positive difference in the communities they serve. Musgrave is working toward becoming the most trusted and sustainable business in Ireland and is seeking motivated, future-focused people to contribute to that goal.
Role Overview
An opportunity is available for an Export Coordinator to join the Export Team and help support the international growth of the FoodEx business. This position is centered on coordinating the points of contact between FoodEx and the retail and wholesale divisions, while ensuring customers receive an excellent service experience, operations run efficiently, communication remains clear across teams, and customer relationships stay stable and long term.
Work Arrangement and Location
The role is based across the Tramore Road and Airport Road locations in Cork City, with occasional travel to the Ballymun site in Dublin. The current working pattern is three days in the office and two days remote, though this flexible arrangement may change over time. The company also operates a Work Smart hybrid model that combines in-business collaboration with remote working.
Key Responsibilities
This role involves a broad mix of customer service, coordination, reporting, and data management duties related to export operations.
- Provide a high standard of service to export customers by ensuring products are available, documentation and certification are accurate and complete, and supporting product details are supplied as needed.
- Improve product availability by working closely with stakeholders across functions and divisions.
- Track customer service agreement performance, produce KPI reporting, and escalate issues when required.
- Support sales growth through active customer engagement and relationship building.
- Keep catalogue information and pricing updated for both existing and new customers.
- Maintain Food Safety and Quality records to support full traceability for customers and issue health certification documents where required for customer orders.
- Carry out forecasting and demand planning for customers, and communicate, maintain, and report this information to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage customer order fulfilment and provide the documentation needed to satisfy customer requirements.
- Keep brand and own-brand product details current, including artwork, images, ingredients, nutritional information, and allergen updates for customers.
Required Experience and Skills
The company is looking for someone with at least three years of relevant experience in a supply chain, trading, or sales environment. The ideal candidate should be comfortable using data to support decision-making, handling customer order fulfilment, and contributing to sustainable sales growth. Strong communication, problem-solving, and self-management skills are important, along with the ability to deliver consistently high-quality outcomes. The role also requires confidence with technology, solid MS Office knowledge, and advanced Microsoft Excel ability. Attention to detail, reliability, adaptability in a fast-moving environment, comfort with ambiguity, and a commitment to continuous improvement are all key. The successful person should work well independently and as part of a team, including across remote settings, countries, cultures, and time zones.
