Elementary School Permanent Substitute Instructional Assistant

About the Role

Singapore American School is seeking a dedicated Elementary School Permanent Substitute Instructional Assistant to provide essential support by filling in for absent Instructional Assistants. This full-time, on-campus role requires a commitment to a one-year contract, ensuring continuity of support within the elementary school. While primarily focused on classroom substitution, the position demands adaptability to assist with other assigned duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent support by substituting for absent Instructional Assistants within the elementary school.
• Commit to a one-year contract, working on campus during all school workdays.
• Be flexible and prepared to undertake additional assignments or responsibilities beyond classroom substitution as required.
• Adhere to the work schedule of Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 3:15 PM.

Qualifications

• Possess a GCE 'O' Level Certification, including a minimum of 5 'O' Levels with at least a credit in English.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Exhibit comfort and effectiveness in diverse work environments, collaborating with a variety of colleagues.
• Maintain a positive attitude, demonstrating initiative and the ability to work cooperatively within a team.
• Possess robust skills in technology applications such as Google Suite, Word, and PowerPoint, with a willingness to learn new software.

Additional Information

This permanent substitute instructional assistant position is compensated at a daily rate of $120.
