Role overview
This part-time remote role is for a document specialist who will handle Word and PDF files with precision. The work focuses on editing, formatting, proofreading, and converting documents so they match client instructions exactly. Accuracy, a strong eye for detail, and comfort using document software are essential.
Key responsibilities
- Review Word files and correct issues in grammar, spelling, and formatting.
- Convert documents between Word and PDF formats while keeping the original layout and content intact.
- Apply the correct fonts, styles, and templates based on client requirements.
- Follow each client’s formatting and presentation rules carefully.
- Upload completed files to the relevant client system and confirm that submission is successful.
Skills and qualifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat, or comparable PDF editing software.
- High attention to detail for spotting and fixing document errors.
- Ability to work from detailed instructions and follow formatting specifications precisely.
- Hands-on experience with Word-to-PDF and PDF-to-Word conversion.
- Good time management to handle multiple requests and deadlines.
