Role overview

This Data Analyst position supports quality and manufacturing operations by turning complex data into actionable insights. The role centers on exploring data, applying statistical methods, creating dashboards, and developing analytical models that can help predict failures and drive continuous improvement. Experience in data engineering, such as ETL, pipelines, or database tuning, is beneficial but not essential. The ideal candidate is primarily analytical and comfortable working with both structured and unstructured data drawn from multiple factory systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery discussions with business users to understand operational workflows, data requirements, and the problem to be solved, then document the related data and process flows.
• Gather, prepare, and analyze large datasets from production systems such as RMA, testing, SPC, and MES.
• Run statistical evaluations, trend analysis, and correlation checks to uncover patterns and likely root causes.
• Design analytical and predictive models, including approaches for anomaly detection and failure-pattern identification.
• Contribute data-driven insights and models to predictive quality initiatives.
• Partner with engineering, test, and MQE teams to translate business needs into analytics requirements.
• Create dashboards and visual reports using Power BI, Tableau, or comparable tools.
• Communicate findings and executive summaries in a way that is clear, concise, and useful for decision-making.

Experience and skills

• 2 to 5 years of experience in a Data Analyst role or a similar analytics-focused position.
• Background in manufacturing, operations, or quality analytics is an added advantage.
• Prior exposure to data engineering or pipeline development is helpful, though not mandatory.
• Experience supporting machine learning or predictive analytics work is a plus.
• Ability to engage effectively with senior business stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with ETL or ELT tools and workflow orchestration.
• Working knowledge of data engineering concepts such as pipelines and data modeling.
• Familiarity with large-scale data tools such as Spark, Hadoop, or cloud analytics platforms like Azure and Databricks.
• Comfort using Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
• Exposure to SAP S4, including familiarity with relevant data tables, is advantageous.
• Experience with automation tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate, or UiPath.
• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving ability.
• Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis.
• Strong SQL skills for extracting and manipulating data.
• Experience using dashboarding tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Understanding of statistical techniques and predictive modeling concepts.
• Ability to explain complex findings to non-technical audiences clearly.
• Strong documentation habits and good organizational skills.
• Collaborative approach and the ability to work across engineering and operations teams.

Preferred education

A bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred.
