About the role

This Data Analyst position is a hands-on opportunity to apply analytical and technical strengths in support of client and stakeholder needs. The role centers on building, testing, and refining data approaches, working with large datasets, and turning raw information into practical insights that can shape decisions and improve operations. You will also communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences using visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau. The role is based in Sneads Ferry, North Carolina, and is designed for someone who wants to grow in a mission-driven environment.

Key responsibilities

You will create and execute data collection and analysis methods aligned with client goals, while checking that data remains accurate, reliable, and usable. A major part of the job involves cleaning, validating, transforming, and interpreting complex datasets to identify trends, irregularities, and meaningful patterns. You will build visual stories with tools like Power BI and Tableau, partner with cross-functional teams to clarify business needs, and turn those needs into data-backed solutions. The role also includes presenting conclusions, writing reports, suggesting next steps, defining KPIs and metrics, and maintaining security and compliance standards.

Qualifications

Candidates should bring at least 3 years of experience in data cleaning, validation, and transformation. Strong working knowledge of Python, R, SQL, and VS Code is required. You should be comfortable analyzing structured data, spotting trends and anomalies, asking clarifying questions, and using data to solve business problems. The position requires the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance and to earn CompTIA Security+ certification within 12 months of joining. A high school diploma or GED is required. A bachelor’s degree in a data-related field, a Top Secret clearance, experience with the Special Operations Forces community, familiarity with Palantir or Foundry, and exposure to machine learning or modeling are all considered advantages.
