Overview
This is a long-term contract opportunity for an experienced copywriter based in California. The role focuses on developing persuasive, audience-specific content that makes complex information easy to understand and helps strengthen brand presence, audience engagement, and broader business goals.
What you’ll do
- Write fresh copy for different audiences such as industry specialists, prospective partners, and consumers, making sure the message fits the audience and purpose.
- Develop both short-form and long-form content for marketing initiatives, product announcements, and external communications.
- Review and improve existing content to make it clearer, more accurate, more relevant, and more effective.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to collect information and turn it into content aligned with business priorities.
- Use digital content best practices when creating web pages and blog posts to improve readability, consistency, and engagement.
- Adjust tone, style, and structure across channels while keeping the brand voice approachable and compelling.
- Find opportunities to repurpose existing material so it can be used across multiple formats and platforms.
- Help maintain a consistent and evolving brand voice across campaigns and everyday communications.
Requirements
- Background in copywriting, content marketing, journalism, communications, or a similar field.
- A strong portfolio showing polished short-form and long-form writing across different content types.
- Prior experience in real estate, mortgage, housing, or a comparable industry setting.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading ability with close attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt messaging for varied audiences, business objectives, and communication channels.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple assignments at once and meet deadlines while working remotely.
- Comfortable incorporating feedback and refining content to improve results.
- Experience with digital content optimization and tools such as WordPress or HubSpot is helpful; Spanish language ability is also a plus.
