Role overview

The Coordinator, Faculty Development is a key operations-focused position that helps nursing programs stay compliant, organized, and academically sound. In this role, you will support faculty credentialing, monitor regulatory and accreditation requirements, assist with learner support processes, and help maintain standards that directly affect learner outcomes.

The work is highly detail-oriented and process-based. Your reviews, audits, and tracking efforts will help ensure faculty can focus on teaching while students receive a consistent and compliant learning experience.

Key duties

  • Work with faculty to make sure credentialing requirements are in place within 30 days of hire and remain current throughout employment, in line with accreditation and partner expectations.
  • Keep faculty licensure information updated and maintain accurate CVs to support ongoing compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Identify learners who may be at risk and maintain the related contact records so faculty have the information needed to support them.
  • Examine and verify communications related to at-risk learners to confirm they meet catalog requirements.
  • Audit faculty comments and feedback on learner work to ensure they satisfy standards for regular and substantive interaction (RSI).
  • Monitor required faculty activity such as email response timing, discussion participation, webinar attendance, LMS usage, learner outreach, and grading timeliness to ensure College standards are met.
  • Log and review attendance by confirming academic participation in discussions, webinars, virtual case-based client care (VCBC), and direct focused care (DFC), including completion within four hours when required.
  • Check final grades for accuracy across both the Learning Management System (LMS) and Student Information System (SIS).
  • Assess flags related to proctored exams and provide recommendations to nursing education leadership on whether they should be upheld or overturned.
  • Share grade updates with the appropriate stakeholders when changes result from grievances, overturned decisions, incompletes, remediation, late submissions, or end-of-term decisions.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in a healthcare environment where medical terminology is used.
  • Proven ability to review information carefully for accuracy and completeness.
  • Experience working within established procedures and following defined processes.
  • Preferred: an associate's degree from an accredited higher education institution.
  • Preferred: certification in medical billing and coding, medical assisting, or ICD-10.
  • Preferred: some familiarity with Canvas or another learning management system.

Compensation and benefits

The budgeted pay range for this position is USD 25 to 27 per hour.

This is a fully remote role. New hires must attend New Collaborator Orientation (NCO) in Salt Lake City, Utah, and the company covers travel, lodging, and other related accommodations.

Employment is subject to passing a background check and drug screening.
